Note:The Powerball is not part of the Spread.
Although the four numbers in Similar Spreads are the same, the order of the numbers in a Similar Spread are different.
The two following sets of drawing numbers are made up examples.
The Spread is simply the differences between adjacent numbers. For example:
- 24-6 = 18
- 32-24 = 8
- 50-32 = 18
- 53-50 = 3
This is a 18:08:18:03 Spread.
The Spread in this second example draw is simply the differences between adjacent numbers.
- 27-9 = 18
- 35-27 = 8
- 38-35 = 3
- 56-38 = 18
This is a 18:08:03:18 Spread
The differences between adjacent numbers in each example draw are the same. The order of the Spread numbers are not the same:
Spread 18:08:18:03...Spread 18:08:03:18. The Spreads are Similar but not Exact.
This is an example of a Similar Spread.
